Travel to any American big city (most small cities, too), and you’ve probably noticed that graffiti has gone from jailable offense to must-have flex. And while street art undoubtedly as a splash of color to otherwise dark and earthy urban tones, it’s undeniable that art with a message is the most impactful. As artist Thomas Kinkade reminds us:

Art transcends cultural boundaries.

More than ever, it seems we need art to not only transcend cultural boundaries, but dissolve them, too.

That’s why we’re so excited to share photos of the brand new LGBTQ+, BPIC mural crosswalk that has just been installed in downtown Sarasota, at the intersection of Coconut Avenue and 2nd Street.
